I already have a blog, so this will have to do for an intro page.

I'm currently serving in the United States Army and living overseas in Germany. I love Europe and everything it has to offer. Yeah, kind of tired of the build-more-stuff-buy-more-stuff attitude in the US. Just another soldier who's tired of putting his life on the line to defend people's desire to consume and be obese. There's gotta be more to life than this!

When I'm not rushing around fulfilling my obligations as a professional soldier, I'm quietly reflecting on life and it's oddities and beauties. Hopefully I can capture some of these things on film. Currently I'm using a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTI with the stock lens, no filters, Photoshop and Gimp. I plan on getting a more professional lens for it someday. If I could, I would do all my editing on FreeBSD but unfortunately, no Photoshop for that platform and getting images off of a SD card is complicated. Linux is just not an option, for personal reasons.

I hope you like what I have to offer. They were just moments that reminded me of what's important in life. Most are of my immediate family, but I have plans to pursue a more professional angle with my photography. We shall see where it goes...
